Back in July, Instagram expanded its testing of hiding like counts to a total of seven countries. Now, Facebook has confirmed that it may start testing the same on its platform. The change could come to News Feed posts and show users a few mutual friends who have like a Facebook post without a total like count. Reported by TechCrunch, a prototype of the upcoming test was discovered by Jane Manchun Wong in the Android app and Facebook confirmed that removing like counts was being considered for testing....

Boundary-pushing HBO drama Euphoria is coming back for season 2. The Zendaya-starring series follows a group of California teens as events in their lives, both good and bad, connect them. Euphoria is adapted from an Israeli TV series of the same name which ran for 10 episodes from 2012 to 2013. HBO’s take was created by Sam Levinson (Assassination Nation), who wrote all eight episodes in season 1 and directed five of them....

A new clip from Escape Plan 2: Hades shows Sylvester Stallone and Dave Bautista getting into a messy gunfight. The original Escape Plan was sold on the long-awaited team-up between former action rivals Stallone and Arnold Schwarzenegger. The story featured Stallone’s security expert being dumped inside an “inescapable” prison and teaming up with Arnie’s wise convict to find a way out. While the movie was only a modest hit in North America, it did strong business overseas, leading to a sequel being greenlit in 2016....

We recently reported that Apple was exploring integrated, pre-installed SIM cards for future devices. This integrated SIM-card system would allow customers to purchase an iPhone and choose any carrier they like from a special menu on that device, completely ditching the carriers from the usual ways of setting up your phone’s service. Today, the Financial Times is reporting that some of Europe’s leading iPhone carriers are furious about Apple’s exploration into this technology and are ready to terminate their carrier subsidy deals....

Real-life (Oscar winning) couple Penélope Cruz and Javier Bardem team up in the trailer for Everybody Knows. This is the new film by Iranian writer/director Asghar Farhadi, whose previous projects include the Foreign Language Oscar-winners A Separation and The Salesman. Cruz stars in Everybody Knows as Laura, a Spanish woman who has been living happily with her husband Alejandro (Ricardo Darín) and two children in Argentina for many years. When Laura returns to her small hometown near Madrid for her sister’s wedding (bringing her kids with her), she is reunited with the rest of her family, as well as Paco (Bardem), a vintner and longtime family friend....
