EPacket Shipping Guide

Shipping out of China in the past was relatively expensive, especially with the additional costs of customs. Before ePacket, China EMS was the primary shipping method when shipping from China. It was often slow and tedious, and the packages usually took months to arrive in other countries.

An arrangement between Hong Kong Post and the United States Postal Service gave birth to ePacket. And it was because China had been working to increase internet sales coming out of China and Hong Kong and going abroad.

Although originally, the agreement was between the US and China, merchants from China can ship their products to other parts of the world.

How ePacket Shipping Works?

ePacket shipping has a tracking facility that allows customers to monitor and locate their packages using websites such as EMS, China Post, and USPS.

Your ePacket delivery can be tracked in a few different ways.

You can track your package using the official website, although it depends on where the package is in transit. If the package is still in China then you can use EMS, but if it’s in the US you can use USPS.

On the other hand, you can use any other tracking services if you’re having problems using the official website:

Being able to track a package helps customers to self-serve and know precisely where their package is, and to know when its arrival is expected, this reduces support inquiries about pending deliveries and boosts customer experience.

ePacket Shipping Requirements

1. Weight And dimension Limit

The standard weight of the parcels is 4.4 lbs (2kg). This includes the shipping box, the filler material product, and any other packaging material.

The only country exempted from the 4.4 lbs rule in Israel. In Israel, the maximum weight is 6.6 lbs.

2. Cost Of Package

The maximum value for any package is $400, and it must be shipped from China or Hong Kong to any other country qualified for ePacket delivery.

3. Maximum And Minimum Package Size

The minimum length of a package should be 14cm and the width 11cm. And as for rolled-up packages, the minimum length is 11cm. If added, twice the diameter and length should be more than 17cm.

As for the maximum size. The length of a package should not be more than 60cm. If the length, width, and height are added it shouldn’t be more than 90cm.

Twice the diameter added to the length should not be more than 104cm.

Benefits Of ePacket

1. Speed

Other shipping methods from China usually take months to arrive. Although these methods are suitable for interstate deliveries, ePacket deliveries are more suitable for shipping packages outside China. While other shipping methods take months, ePacket shipping takes about three weeks to arrive.

2. It Is Cheaper

Usually shipping goods to other countries from China is normally expensive. If you’re shipping from your country to another country you have to pay a shipping fee of $50 to $100 and sometimes the product won’t even be up to $20. But with ePacket shipping, the cost is reduced so customers and merchants aren’t overwhelmed with high shipping fees.

3. Free Returns On Undeliverable Items

Any undeliverable mail is returned to the merchant with no additional cost which gives customers a sense of security knowing the merchants will provide a refund for the undelivered package.

Although ePacket shipping is a fast and convenient way to ship packages, goods can only be shipped from China or Hong Kong meaning that you can’t use ePacket shipping for shipping goods from other countries.
