Ant-Man and The Wasp  star Evangeline Lilly is pumped up - quite literally - in a new photo as she readies herself for her first day of shooting. Fans of The Wasp got pumped up themselves, of course, when in Ant-Man’s first post-credits scene in 2015, Dr. Hank Pym (Michael Douglas) revealed to his daughter, Hope van Dyne (Lilly) a prototype Wasp suit that he and his wife were working on before she went subatomic in the Quantum Realm.

While it became immediately apparent that The Wasp would be involved in the Ant-Man sequel after that, it was the revelation of the film’s title - Ant Man and The Wasp - that confirmed that Lilly’s character, by sharing half the billing, would be playing a significant role in the movie.

Lilly is clearly taking the opportunity seriously, at least judging by a new photo she posted on her Twitter account Sunday. Teasing her first day of shooting on the film, Lilly posted a photo featuring her very toned biceps, with the comment “#Wasp ready arms. They better be. First official day of shooting for me tomorrow! #putmeincoach!” See the tweet below.

Looking buff is nothing new to Lilly. Fans will recall she was in prime shape in the first Ant-Man, especially in the scene where Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) was training with Janet and he was foolish enough to question her physical capabilities (which Janet answered with a solid punch to Scott’s nose that landed him on his back). And while Lilly’s physical skills were only required for a few scenes, it’s become apparent with Lilly’s new social media post that Janet will be doing a lot more heavy lifting in Ant-Man and The Wasp. Judging from the way Rudd got ripped to play the titular character in the first Ant-Man film, a lot of muscle and stamina is require for the role, and Lilly appears to be more than ready to handle the task at hand.

Considering that Lilly’s name was never mentioned in the description of the Ant-Man and The Wasp footage presented at San Diego Comic-Con last month, it makes sense that she’s only starting on the production now. The footage (which for the time being will not be released online by Marvel Studios) did feature The Wasp flying, which presumably was done CGI and did not require Lilly’s presence.

No matter the case, it’s going to be exciting to see Lilly spring back into action as Hope, who had a memorable presence in the first film. With any luck, she’ll be reunited with her long-lost mother, Janet (Michelle Pfeiffer), since it’s unclear at this point whether the Oscar-nominated actress was brought on board for flashback scenes or if Hank, Hope and Scott will find a way to bring the original Wasp back to the present day.
