Warning: This is a preview of a MATURE comic book

The wait may have been long for his return to DC Comics, but the first issue of The Question: The Deaths of Vic Sage did not disappoint. With writer Jeff Lemire and artists Denys Cowan and Bill Sienkiewicz joining forces for the DC Black Label adventure, it’s a spoil of riches. And that was even before readers understood just how The Deaths of Vic Sage would expand on the Hub City hero they already knew. Or, judging by the first issue… the hero they thought they knew.

While the return of Vic Sage a.k.a. The Question in any form would have delighted his fans, the new team has aimed much higher. Where Denny O’Neil and Denys Cowan began their own legacy with the character by ‘killing’ the original created by Steve Ditko, The Deaths of Vic Sage adds a new wrinkle. The first issue followed Vic as he stumbled into a surreal glimpse of a former life – a cowboy Question – revealing the true depths this series intends to plumb. And in our exclusive preview of The Deaths of Vic Sage #2, the trip back through time is about as gorgeous as any reader would hope.

The previous issue ended with Vic Sage tossed backwards through time, stepping back into the boots (and mask) of his former self… a gunslinger living in Hub city circa 1886. Get your first look at this strange new chapter in The Question’s history in our exclusive preview pages below:

The question sparked by this preview will have to wait until the rest of the issue arrives on store shelves. So for now, fans can only soak up the artwork above, and find the full credits and plot synopsis below:
